Four Lakes task force
In collaboration with Midland and Gladwin counties, a group of volunteers came together to form FLTF. The Four Lakes Task Force is engaged with public officials, and has three main goals:
Ensure lake levels are sustainable for the community for future generation's.
Repair dams to ensure safe operations and maintain compliance with state safety requirements.
Improve certainty on restoration time and costs.

Midland Center For The Arts

Chippewa Nature Center
Chippewa Nature Center is one of the largest private non-profit nature centers in the United States. Through the years, CNC has grown from its original 198 acre parcel and an all-volunteer staff to include over 1,500 acres, 40 staff members and hundreds of volunteers. Over 70,000 people visit CNC every year, including 1,000 Nature Day Campers and thousands of school children.

Pinecrest Farms

Pinecrest Farms is a long-term-care facility located at 413 North Homer Road just north of M-20 in Midland. The Pinecrest campus includes 160 acres of land (fields, woods, crops, and a pond) offering outdoor recreational opportunities such as golf cart rides, fishing and nature walks. The complex includes multiple common area's equipped with a pool table, TV, computer, library, salt water aquarium, birds and fitness equipment. Pinecrest Farms also offers two screened in porches, nature walking areas and a variety of scheduled activities and outings.

Care services and recreational areas of the facility are available at no additional charge – this includes supplied linens, towels, toiletries and in-room TV's with cable television. Private and semi-private rooms with full bathrooms are available. Pinecrest provides assisted care under the direction of a Director of Nursing and 24-hour LPN supervision to frail, elderly, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill individuals.

Pinecrest Farms provides 24/7 assisted care with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Our qualified and experienced staff manages the medications, cooking, cleaning and housekeeping for all residents. While we promote independence with our residents, we also provide assistance with bathing, dressing and toileting as needed.

Admission Information

A physical and health assessment is completed by the Administrator and Director of Nursing to ensure the resident's specific needs can be met before admission.

Typically plan on one to three days from the time of the assessment to the time of the admission. Admissions should take place Tuesday - Thursday and certain health care information must be collected and processed before admission.

Upcoming Events

Pinecrest Farms offers a variety of activities, events and outings for our residents. Most of the outings are timed with the seasons and the holidays. Pinecrest residents enjoy themed parties year round, in the summer there is an annual Great Lakes Loons game outing, end of summer Pig Roast and of course holiday parties in the winter, just to name a few.

Life Enrichment

Pinecrest Farms offers a variety of activities throughout each month. We believe a well-rounded variety of activities and spontaneous events is the best way to allow people to lead a fulfilling and rich life. None of our activities are required but are always encouraged.
