Four Lakes task force
In collaboration with Midland and Gladwin counties, a group of volunteers came together to form FLTF. The Four Lakes Task Force is engaged with public officials, and has three main goals:
Ensure lake levels are sustainable for the community for future generation's.
Repair dams to ensure safe operations and maintain compliance with state safety requirements.
Improve certainty on restoration time and costs.

The County Connection of Midland & Midland Dial-A-Ride Transit Study documents the evaluation of organizational structure efficiencies of the two existing public transit organizations and considers the feasible alternatives to administering and governing public transit throughout Midland County.

Chippewa Nature Center
Chippewa Nature Center is one of the largest private non-profit nature centers in the United States. Through the years, CNC has grown from its original 198 acre parcel and an all-volunteer staff to include over 1,500 acres, 40 staff members and hundreds of volunteers. Over 70,000 people visit CNC every year, including 1,000 Nature Day Campers and thousands of school children.

Midland County Commissioner - District No. 4 Vacancy

The Midland County Board of Commissioner’s is seeking applicants to fill the unexpired term of County Commissioner District 4.

Applicants must be a resident and registered voter of Midland County Commissioner District 4. For information about your Commissioner District, visit https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us/.

Applications may be obtained in the Midland County Clerk’s Office, 220 W. Ellsworth, Midland, MI 48640 or by clicking HERE.

Applications must be returned no later than, Thursday, May 14^th, 2026 at 5:00 PM.

Eligible applicants will be interviewed and selected at the Board Meeting on May 19^th, 2026.
