Reserve Deputies

Reserve Deputies play a vital role in assisting the Midland County Sheriff's Office. This division is comprised of approximately 30 men and women who volunteer their time to help the Sheriff keep Midland County safe.

It does not take a degree in law enforcement to become a Midland County Reserve. Anyone with a desire to help their community is welcome to apply. We do require applicants to have a clean criminal history and driving record in order to be considered.

Reserve deputies serve many functions. They ride along with road deputies and assist them while they are patrolling. They also provide security for many events throughout the year. If you attend the Midland County Fair, Loon's Baseball games, or local high school sporting events, then you have seen the Midland County Reserves in action.
