42nd Circuit Court
The 42nd Circuit Court is the trial court of general jurisdiction in Michigan. It has jurisdiction over all actions except those given by state law to another court.
The Circuit Court has original jurisdiction in all civil cases involving more than $25,000, in all criminal cases where the offense is a felony or a serious misdemeanor, all domestic relations cases, and all child abuse, neglect, and delinquency cases.

Divorce Information
The Circuit Court Clerk’s Office on the 4th Floor of the Courthouse sells "Divorce Packets" for $75.00. It will require some time on your part to read, fill out, file and serve the paperwork.
Recovery Court
The Midland County Adult Recovery Court is geared toward addressing the needs of non-violent adult felons with substance abuse disorders.
Mental Health Court
The Midland County Adult Mental Health Court is a treatment program aimed to divert and support eligible defendants with mental health concerns.

Swift & Sure Sanctions Probation Program
MiHOPE, an acronym for Midland County Honest Opportunity Probation with Enforcement
MiHOPE is Midland County’s variation of the state wide probation initiative known as the Swift and Sure Sanctions Probation Program.
